F*cking Fabulous Series
When the pandemic began to ease up in late 2021, after all our trials of many varieties, I felt healed and reborn. I also deeply felt the sarcasm of “f*cking fabulous” as an answer to the question How are you doing? On the cusp of turning 40, I began the series with a painting dedicated to a close friend entitled “40 Loving” and continued from there. Throughout the pandemic, I went through an upheaval in many personal and professional matters. This series was born out of a feeling of empowerment from overcoming, persisting, and feeling the turn our world took for the better as we reopened. Part of the series was also inspired by seeing a mixing palette of colors on a green background.
